What are your qualifications and experience as a corporate copywriter, copy editor and translator?

For more than 20 years, I have been working with top companies to craft clear, compelling and persuasive content on a wide range of products and services - from simple to technical - helping them achieve their desired outcomes, whether that’s driving sales, building brand awareness, or simply educating their audience.

I have previously worked as an editor at the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, also known as Tourism Malaysia, and as a copywriter at the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), a global not-for-profit organisation dedicated to transforming the palm oil industry to ensure sustainability. In addition, I was the editor-in-chief of the RSPO e-Gazette, a monthly newsletter distributed to over 5,000 RSPO members worldwide.

I have written/edited more than 1,000 press releases, advertorials, annual reports, marketing materials, corporate profiles, promotional plans, guidance documents, reports, product descriptions, etc.

In addition, I have also written/edited more than 500 articles on various topics, including sustainable palm oil, manufacturing, sustainability, technology and innovation, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and the travel and tourism industry. These articles were published on websites, newsletters, newspapers, magazines, social media and blogs.

I have also prepared over 500 speeches, forewords and talking points for VVIPs, including the Malaysian Minister of Tourism, Ministry of Tourism Secretary General, Tourism Malaysia Chairman, Tourism Malaysia Director General, and Malaysian Ambassadors.

Furthermore, I was involved in writing/editing major projects like Tourism Malaysia Strategic Plan 2022-2026, Tourism Malaysia Marketing Plan 2022-2026, Tourism Malaysia Annual Report, Tourism Malaysia newsletter, RSPO e-Gazette, Sime Darby Plantation newsletter (Seedlink), Eaglestar newsletter (Horizon), Visitor's Guide to Malaysia, SMI Business Directory, Malaysia Motoring Guide, Borneo Bulletin Brunei Yearbook, etc.

In terms of translation, I have translated various write-ups, technical documents, reports, marketing materials, etc., from English to Malay and vice versa.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in translation and interpretation from the University of Science, Malaysia, and a master’s degree in modern language studies from the University of Malaya, Malaysia.

How long does it take you to write, edit, proofread, or translate my copy?

It depends on the length and complexity of the assignment. Ideally, I would like to have a minimum of 10 working days to work on your copy. That gives me the time to polish, edit, and revise until I’m satisfied with every word. However, if the job is a rush, just tell me the date by which you must receive the copy. If I take on the job, I guarantee that you will receive the copy by this date – or sooner.

Living by the motto 'I promised, I'll deliver', I strive to provide excellent services to every client in terms of quality of work, timely delivery, professional behaviour, customer service, and value for money.

What happens if we want you to revise the copy?

Rewriting is free of charge. Revisions are included in the flat fee we’ve agreed to for the assignment, provided they are assigned within 30 days of receipt of the copy and are not based on a change in the assignment after the copy has been submitted. Just tell me what you want improved and what the changes are, and I’ll make them.
